Intro to Welding

Calendar May 9, 2020 at 3 pm, runs for 4 weeks

This is an introductory class covering stick, mig and tig welding. The first session will be devoted to safety and discussion about the different types of common welding. The students will have an opportunity to stick, mig and tig weld in the following three classes. Each class will be dedicated to a different type of welding.

Forestry for Maine Birds

Join Maine Audubon for an afternoon of outdoor exploration and forest habitat assessment in Winthrop. Participants will learn about how to identify forest birds; what features songbirds need to breed successfully; different approaches to forest management, and then discuss options for techniques that help support forest birds and other wildlife. Forestry for Maine Birds is geared toward landowners, natural resource professionals, and anyone interested in learning about managing woodlands "with birds in mind." We will start in the classroom and then take a walk in the Roger Guerrette Community Trails.

Beginners Watercolor: Maine Scene

This class is tailored towards the beginner artist. You will learn brush techniques and create a beautiful Maine scene with watercolor paints. The instructor will guide you through each step of the process. Come and create something beautiful! The instructor will provide all the materials.
