10 Steps to a Healthier You

This course is a 10 Lesson series - each lesson is 15-20minutes in length. You can take this class on your own time as it is self-led online learning through interactive videos, print lessons and worksheets. Participants learn about healthy eating (MyPlate), family meal planning, budgeting at the store, and food safety. Individual access to EFENP educators who provide discussion-based learning using Zoom or the telephone.

Graduation certificates and a recipe book are emailed upon completion of the 10 sessions.

Participants learn about healthy eating, meal planning, food budgeting, food safety and have a chance to make new recipes at home -Educators lead the class through Zoom and participants will receive follow up materials and access to free videos -Optional: Virtual Cooking Matters Store Tour – at the completion of this class you will receive a $10 Hannaford gift card -After completion of the class, participants will receive a graduation certificate, reusable shopping bag, grocery list, vegetable peeler, produce scrub brush, water bottle, cookbook, measuring cups and spoons, a freezer thermometer and a food thermometer.

This class incorporates: -A lesson video (15 minutes) and a physical activity segment by video (15 minutes) to watch at home -A link to a new tasty and fun recipe to make at home -A live, interactive meeting lead by a nutrition educator by phone or by Zoom (30 minutes) -Optional: Virtual Cooking Matters Store Tour — at the completion of this class you will receive a $10 Hannaford gift card Participants will have access to a free app that contains free recipes, a step counter, a physical activity tracker, and a unit price calculator to help you save money at the store. After completion of the class, participants will receive a graduation certificate, reusable shopping bag, grocery list, vegetable peeler, produce scrub brush, water bottle, cookbook, measuring cups and spoons, a freezer thermometer and a food thermometer.
