Hunter Safety: Skills and Exam Day
This is an Online Course format which requires that students complete the knowledge portion of the course online and attend a skills and exam day which is about 7 hours. Students complete quizzes and an exam as part of the online course and are provided with a completion voucher to attend the skills and exam day. In the skills and exam session students must demonstrate to the instructor that they can safely handle a firearm, participate in activities, bring in a survival kit with appropriate contents and pass a 50 question test with a grade of at least 70%. Students must bring the online course completion voucher or an electronic version of it to the first class. Please visit www.hunter- ed.com/maine to complete the online portion of the course.
Yoga for Abundant Bodies and Beginner Yogis Session 3

Inclusive yoga – yoga for EVERY body. This class will introduce students to all aspects of yoga, providing information beyond the poses. The goal of this class is to provide an achievable, safe vinyasa flow for students with larger bodies in order to promote strength, flexibility and balance - both physically and mentally. Self-acceptance is promoted. Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing.

Dave Fuller is an Agriculture and Non-Timber Forest Product Professional with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. His past research has included a study on the effects of harvesting fiddleheads from wild fern stands.

Safety in the Modern World

In this 3 week course, participants will learn some basic ways to handle everyday situations that have the potential to turn violent. It is not unrealistic to be in a situation where you have to control a scenario involving a family member or friend that has escalated out of hand. This course looks to bridge that gap and address what happens in a situation when reasonable force is needed. A potentially dangerous situation where injuring one of the parties is not necessary, but some level of physical component is likely to be utilized. Conflict resolution skills will be taught in the form of de-escalation strategies, avoidance, restraining and controlling techniques. Adults 18 and over are welcome to attend. No prior martial arts experience necessary.
