Have you ever wanted to set up your own home compost operation, but were afraid it was too difficult to do? If so, then this class is for you. During this two-part program, students will be introduced to the world of backyard composting while learning how easy it really is to do! Topics covered will include: an introduction to compost biology, review of various compost systems, a discussion of compost feedstocks and their challenges, how to setup and manage your compost pile/bin, how to trouble-shoot compost problems and finally, what to do with the finished product. This class is designed to appeal to both novice and experienced composters alike
Hunter Safety: Skills and Exam Day
This is an Online Course format which requires that students complete the knowledge portion of the course online and attend a skills and exam day which is about 7 hours. Students complete quizzes and an exam as part of the online course and are provided with a completion voucher to attend the skills and exam day. In the skills and exam session students must demonstrate to the instructor that they can safely handle a firearm, participate in activities, bring in a survival kit with appropriate contents and pass a 50 question test with a grade of at least 70%.
